I am 12 weeks past my laparoscopic total hysterectomy and am suddenly getting occasional breathlessness and pain in neck. I am not sure if it’s anxiety suddenly appearing now it’s all over with as I have been given a clean bill of health and no other treatment necessary. It is not there all the time but find it’s more when I’m rushing or walking up a hill. I am now getting out and back to walking sometimes about 5 miles as I did before. I’m unsure if it’s my body telling me I’m pushing myself too much too soon. Has anyone else had a similar experience. I’m due a check up on the 11th of November and will broach the subject if it’s still on going just needing some advice from all you lovely people .
Hi Rosie63
This is something I would recommend getting checked out and not waiting until the 11th November. There may be lots of different reasons for this and indeed it may be some anxiety but you have had surgery in the last 3 months so it would be wise to get some reassurance.
I would personally give either hospital or GP a call in the am and ask to be checked.
If however you have an episode before then it may be an idea to ring NHS 111 for advice.
Good Luck
Jane
I recommend you get assessed quickly. Try NHS 111, or if there is a NHS Walk-In Centre near you perhaps you can be seen there. Last time I contacted NHS 111 they contacted my GP right away, who then rang me to come to the surgery immediately. Normally it would take me weeks and weeks to get an appointment!
