Hi I’ve been for a scan back in March which doctor at the time said was ok. Thursday I went to see a different doctor who’s lovely. She went back over my history and looked at the scan and said it’s thicker than it should be due to being on HRT for over 6 years.
she’s told me to come off HRT for now. This was Thursday referred under 2 week rules. The. Last night on my bday got a call at 730 offering me a scan today?
im ok but do feel nervous.
I wish I’d asked her how thick the lining was.
Them calling me on a Sunday at 730pm has stressed me out!!
I had a biopsy done and a mirena coil put in on a Sunday so don’t overthink that getting a call on a Sunday is anything other than them playing catch up x hope your scan is ok…they told me at both of mine that lining was thicker than it should be, I asked who thick and they both told me, so don’t worry about asking the question
Hi Twinmum
I'd suspect the late evening call was due to them having a last minute cancellation slot and with various strikes going on, they'd want to fill any slots a quickly as possible.
I hope it all goes well for you
Hi Twinmum, I recently had a similar experience. I had a phone call on a Sunday for a scan the next day. I was grateful that I didn't have to wait very long. I've also had scans on a Sunday evening. I think hospitals are doing their best to avoid unnecessary waits. Hope it goes OK today.
Had my scan today. Didn’t get told anything. One nurse told me I’m down for a phone call tomorrow another one said the consultant I’m under writes to you between 1-2 weeks so confused still.
did anyone get told at the internal scan if there was something to worry about or it was or good?
Hi Twinmum
It may depend on the hospital, radiologist and/or what we ask them to share?
I had an incredibly knowledgeable and helpful radiologist. He talked me through all his good and bad findings as he went, and told me the next steps in the process.
Hopefully you'll hear soon but in the meantime, if you can, try and busy yourself with things you love and enjoy. It will lift your spirits and help the time whizz by
On my internal scans the just told me my lining was thicker than it should be, when I asked the measurement they told me…the first one was much more forthcoming than the second one…
