Hi all.
I am looking for advice on any reasonably cost solutions for swimming with daily bleeding.
I was wondering if people would happy to share their experiences with products such as waterproof pants and incontinence swimwear, or anything solutions.
Thank you
HI Crumpets OrToast,
I went on holiday between hysteroscopy and hysterectomy and had daily bleeding in the run up to that. Gynaecologist prescribed Norethisterone. I started this one week before going away until I returned home. Not a sign of bleeding during my holiday. The payoff was a heavy bleed for 2/3 days when I stopped taking (which I was pre-warned of). It was well worth the lack of worry on my hols whilst in and out of the pool
Jules
Thanks Jules65 - i'll read up about Norethisterone but my preference would be not to add more meds at this time
Hello Crumpets or Toast it's interesting you raise this issue as I only recently realised there was such a thing and swimming is my favourite way to relax. I was watching Lorraine the other day and they did a feature on swimwear and said that Tu at Sainsbury's do a black period pant swimming costume. I did a bit of googling and discovered similar ones; Wuka period swimsuit and another by Cheeky Wipes. Boots do a Love Luna period bikini brief; not sure if this a type of pants or an actual bikini. Anyway I hope this is useful to you and anyone else who is reading.
Thanks JaneAustenfan, i'll definitely look into those.
Great minds think alike! I had just found Wuka and some other sites called SplashAbout, Kesvir and Modibodi.
I don't know anyone that has tried any of these products, so can't say which are good.
Maybe i'll ask my hospital nurse if they can recommend any waterproof pants suitable to go under my old swimwear.
i was even wondering if i could use my eco friendly period (actually endless bleeding) pants under my old swimwear.
Thanks again for your suggestions. I'll enjoy looking at those as not quite found style + price that I like yet from my findings.
