Scared!!

I am 46, and had a total hysterectomy 5 weeks ago. The cancer was detected end Nov during an MRI scan to check on the size of fibroids!!! I had suffered extremly heavy bleeding for years but just put up with it, but was admitted to hospital last May with severe anaemia and water retention. The fibroids were discovered by ultrasound then the follow up MRI found thickening of the womb lining and early stage cancer was diagnosed.

The hysterectomy was a doddle - I can't believe that I have sailed through it so easily! No pain, no nausea, nothing!

I saw the Oncologist on Friday and they said that I need a course of chemotherapy followed by a course of radiotherapy. Now, I'm scared!!!!

Half on what he said to me, I can't remember!! I am waiting to see a Macmillan Nurse so hopefully I can have someone to talk to face to face and in my own time! I have been told that they are really good.

I just keep crying all the time! I am so scared!

    Hi Butekaz,

I just want you to know that I am thinking of you. I am at the beginning of my journey so cannot give you anymore than my support, if it helps. My yoga teacher tells me that I’m strong...you are, too...stronger than you know. I believe in the power of positive thinking. So far you have healed so well. That must count for something! Remember to breathe...you are not alone.
