4 week Post operation cramping and spotting very red fresh blood. Is this normal or should I go back to clinic?
Hi Riotous, if it was me I’d phone my ward where I had the op, as post op care was done from there. It sounds like you may have been overdoing things so it does need to be properly checked out in case you’ve broken a stitch. In the meantime, no lifting/carrying anything any heavier than a mug of coffee, and be careful about bending down too. That means no kettles with more than a mugful in, no saucepans of veg/pasta, no trays of food, no shopping bags etc. and plenty of rest with your feet up.
