Just saw this bit of good news for speeding up womb cancer biopsy results. Makes me laugh they mention two weeks is too long when I had to wait 5 but anything they are doing to speed up that awful waiting is excellent

Hi Cakenport, my lovely consultant/surgeon was involved in the trials for this! David Constable-Phelps was at Imperial College London then came to Southampton in December 2021, and did my hysterectomy op in January 2022.
Hello Cakenport
I think getting the results back quickly is absolutely important, we all are very aware of the stressful situation of waiting on biopsy results can be. I know it can depend on area and how busy the lab is at the time. If I remember correctly I think it was 7 or 8 days later I got my results on my diagnostic biopsy. It was 3 weeks for the staging results from the hysterectomy tissue.

My lovely consultant is Mr David Constable Phelps, he operated on me in 2023 when I was diagnosed with vulva cancer., he is so kind and caring. I see him again this week for a check up.
He’s a brilliant surgeon and such a kind man.
He is, I agree. I hope you are doing well.
