Pre-Assessment Anaesthetics appointment

My surgery was 11 days after my pre- assessment. You could always say to them you’ve got something booked for they days.

Hi Sabine, I had my pre-op assessment 5 weeks before my hysterectomy. It does vary from hospital to hospital.. I’d be very surprised if you received an op date for only 3 days after your pre op. but what I’d suggest is that you ask your CNS to pass through to your consultant the dates when you’re due to be away as that may reassure you.

Hi Sabine, I’d suggest that when you phone your consultant’s secretary you ask also about contact details for your CNS as it will mean you have access to more support and an easy route to your consultant.
