Hi ladies
I had my appointment in clinic today for my histology results from TRH and BSO
The histology backed up the initial diagnosis of grade 1 stage 1 adenocarcinoma
There was only a very small residual bit of cancer in the womb lining as the biopsy took most of it away. The hysterectomy took those residual spots away, I am so relieved and know just how lucky I have been.
I will be having a scan and appointment in 3 months and follow ups every 6 months until year 5.
I'm so very grateful to all the ladies on here who have virtually held my hand and guided me through this whirlwind of a process and if you don't mind I would very much like to stay on and help to support others.
Jane66. Can't begin to say how happy I am to read your post, what great news. As for you staying on supporting others, the offer is greatly appreciated! Many ladies leave after their good news as this's been an unpleasant blip on their lives and they want to forget it. Others stay and continue to offer support and a hand to hold throughout. I was just about to have my op 2 years ago but after my treatment wanted to help others so trained to be a Community Champion and had my induction course and never regretted a day since!
Sending happy hugs your way, Barb xx
