2022 is proving to be a strange year as all the milestones from 6 years ago are falling on the same day as they did 6 years ago.

Monday 16th May 2016 Hysterectomy followed a mad dash on Friday 13th to get hubby into care before my surgery

Thursday 23rd June 2016 first cycle of chemo

Thursday 22nd September 2016  start of cycle 5 of 6

Saturday 24th September 2016  Hubby doesnt wake up and care home staff turn up on my doorstep just as chemo after effects are kicking in

2021 signed off by oncology and gynae last year but treatment left me with permanent internal nerve damage to bowel and bladder that no clinitians wanted to help me deal with COVID didnt help either

February 2022 Possible neurology symptoms in foot could indicate diabetes? - blood tests clear athough cholesteral bit high.

March suddenly get partial numb muscle in thigh and other areas of thigh/leg intermittant tingling/tickling or 'cold' burn. Diagnosis Meralgia paresthica??? trapped nuerve but where?

  • Hi . You've really been through the mill by the sounds of things, you've my sympathies. Especially to lose your husband whilst undergoing chemo, that must have been truly awful.

    I hope some of the ladies here come back if they've had the same after effects to "compare notes".

    In the meantime it might be a good idea to call the nurses and have a chat on the Macmillan helpline, freephone no. 0808 808 0000. We're not medically trained here, just share a wealth of personal experience, so can't offer you any advice I'm sorry to say.
