Hello all- thank you everyone for replies on my previous post. Helps to know you are not alone.
What actually is carcinoma sarcoma? All the terms are confusing- up until now they thought it was endometrial adeno carcinoma
Hi Jane and welcome! Totally agree about not googling but instead of needed use only trusted sources like Macmillan and NHS sites, I also look at cancerresearch.org. Here’s a Macmillan link about the different types of uterus cancers: www.macmillan.org.uk/.../types-of-womb-cancer and also one on stages/grades: www.macmillan.org.uk/.../staging-and-grading-of-womb-cancer
Think the stage 1b means the cancer has gone through more than 50% of the muscle wall of the uterus but not through to the outside, so it's still hopefully contained? But as it's a grade 3 cancer it's grows more quickly. I agree with not looking up statistics and info on Google as some info is out of date and everyone is individual. Take care.

thank you. Yes the consultant said it was still contained and that is stage 1- it hadnt reached the cervix so wasnt stage 2 -so am thinking that the carcinoma sarcoma makes it grade 3 and thats why I need further treatment
thank you - will have a look
