Hi - has anybody else only been offered the one session of brachytherapy, following a full hysterectomy and 5 weeks radiotheraphy? I’ve only seen posts on here where people are having two or three? Just curious as I know different hospitals do things differently! On the one hand I’m glad to get it all over and done with in a day, but on the other hand I’m still worried that one session won’t be enough, even though my hospital have assured me that it is. I was grade one, stage 2 (spread to cervix - hence needing brachy).
Hi Lolabo. I've not heard of a single session of Brachytherapy - 3 seems to be the norm as far as I know. If you're still worried ask to speak to your Oncologist.
Hugs, Barb xx

Hi Maddy - hope you are ok? I’m not quite finished yet - still got 3 external radiotheraphy, then the one brachytherapy. Will you be having brachytherapy too? Will be interesting to see how many sessions you get if you have it as we both had our ops at the same hospital xx
