Hi Ladies hope you are all well,

Saw my doctor today for my ultrasound results and they still think it could be a fatty lump in my tricep but it has atypical features and because of the type of cancer I have (Carsinosarcoma) they want to send me for an mri to make sure before they say for definite.  So here we go back to stressing out and being convinced it has spread and that I am beyond help. X

  • Oh Rach!  Sending hugs!  I have carsinosarcoma too - I really hope you get your appointments through soon and it doesn’t drag on for you.

  • My gp still doesn’t seem too concerned about and just said they would send me an appointment it the post.  I hate that my mind runs away with itself and I overreact to everything.  My macmillan nurse says it’s highly unlikely to have gone there and if it was anyone else they would have just said it’s a fatty lump but because of the history they want to double check before they say for sure. X

  • Hi . Listen to your Macmillan nurse and try to stop thinking the worst. I do agree our minds do run away to bad places so concentrate on gtting through the rest of your treatment and think about your wedding!

    Big hugs, Barb xx

  • Thank you for the reply  I feel a little better today and speaking to my nurse has helped a little.  It’s just the waiting for the scan then waiting for the results it drives you mad.  The lady that did the scan, my gp and the nurses on the chemo unit all said fatty lump so I didn’t think anything of it so think I felt a bit sideswiped when the gp said they have recommended an mri be done because as my nurse said it’s a funny shape so they have said it has atypical features.  The nurse also said it’s because of my history and the type of cancer they want to be sure they haven’t missed anything and that if it was anyone else they would have said its a fatty lipoma.
