Hi all,
After days of my hair coming out more and more finally decided to shave it down to a number 2. Cried my eyes out as stacie did it but now it is done I don’t feel so bad. I still find it weird and I’m not a fan but I will embrace it as it is part of my journey and fingers crossed once the chemo is finished it will all have been worth it. Here I am embracing the baldness with my lovely fiancée stacie. X
Hi Rach_E I did the same but now it doesn't bother except when it's cold, that's when I pop my turbans on. Great that Stacie's supportive, didn't she decide to go for it too? LOL !!
By the way, don't order wigs from that company I recommended Light in a Box. I ordered 3. 2 were rubbish in one I looked like Sharon Osbourne on a very bad day the other was nothing like the photo - the 3 was ok. I complained to customer services who have informed I can return for a full refund to CHINA I have to pay the return postage costs or I can keep and get a refund of 20%. I'm not happy as this wasn't made clear at the time of ordering so ongoing emails happening.
How are you finding the chemo going, just a couple of off days like me?
Sending hugs, Barb xx

She has cut hers a bit shorter, she said she would shave it if I wanted her to but I said no as her hair takes forever to grow and she will probably still be bald next year lol. I have my second one tomorrow but didn’t find the last one too bad, had pains in legs, diarrhoea and nausea and was tired and that was about it. Think it started 4th day and lasted until 6th/7th day. Feeling a bit anxious about going tomorrow but hopefully will be fine when I get there, think I get scared it’s not going to work but possibly a worry we all have. The support from everyone on here is amazing though and picks me up when I feel down. X
Thank you Natalie, I’m not a fan of the new look but hopefully will get used to it x
Hi Rach E,
Well done.
I remember my daughter having her head shaved after chemo. One day her 18month old escaped out of the door and my daughter gave chase. They landed back about an hour later with my daughter still with a bare head. They had visited a church fete. She said 'Well, people can have me like this or not at all', and she went around with a bare head after that!! It was in the summer.
My biggest fear was loosing my hair despite knowing I have incurable endometrial cancer stage 3c2 as I have inoperable tumour on aortic artery. But once it happened I coped with it much better than I imagined I would. Finished chemo end of November hair growing back. Best of luck and keep smiling xx
