I am due to start my first chemo on Wednesday but I have a cold, will I still be able to have it?
Thanks
Hi Rach_E. I'm not that knowledgeable to advise as I've only had one session, the next on 31/12 so if I were you I'd contact your Chemo team to check. You should have an out of hours contact number if the normal chemo suite is shut. I have read elsewhere that people's treatments have been cancelled because of infections like UTI's but don't know if a cold would be deemed the same.
I'm assuming you'll have your Covid swab tomorrow they may be able to advise.
Hugs, Barb xx
