Hi, i have just been diagnosed with uterine serous and am hoping for some reassurance from anyone out there. I had breast cancer in 2017 and now I have uterine cancer and I am devastated. I have been told it is stage 1a and will need a hysterectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I am really struggling to cope. X
Hi Mintycat,
I am sorry to hear your of your new diagnosis. I know when I was struggling to cope that the lovely ladies on this forum made me feel much better. I also spoke to a counsellor on this site which helped greatly.
I also found it helped to speak to someone who wasn't a family member and I could have a good cry without having to put on a brave face. You can get access to counselling through your GP or through your CNS as well. It definitely helps to talk and not keep everything bottled up.
I am sending you a big hug and wish you all the best.

Hi Mintycat and welcome to our little corner of the Online Community. I'm so sorry to read you'd had breast cancer in 2017 and now this diagnosis. On this forum you'll find a lovely group of supportive ladies who'll be here hold your hand and reassure you. We're all at the start, in the middle or the end of what can only be described as an emotional roller-coaster ride.
I was diagnosed as stage 1a, grade 1 but regraded after the hysterectomy to stage 1B,grade 3. I had just 3 sessions of Brachytherapy and no chemo.
Like Amycdi says sometimes a family member or friend doesn't understand where you're coming from. We do and we'll do all we can to support you through this difficult time. If you want to ask any of us any questions please come back and do so. There's always someone around and we can offer a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold or listen to a rant, we’re here for you.
It might also be a good idea to download this booklet Understanding Womb (Endometrial) Cancer I found it invaluable in my journey.

Thank you MrsBJH, you have given me lots of useful advice. It is so nice to talk to someone who has been through it so knows exactly where I am coming from. Hope to have the hysterectomy next week, just want the cancer out! It’s the waiting that’s so stressful. I am hearing a lot about regrading once the hysterectomy has been done which worries me greatly.
Thank you again for your kind words.x
