Hello I’ve been part of the Macmillan community since 2018 since my beautiful husband was diagnosed with advanced kidney cancer, he has it in both lungs and lymph nodes. It was treated with

  1. pazopanib The cancer was 8cm and it shrunk 21/2 cm we were so pleased after a while it had stopped working so he was put on new treatment immunotherapy, it was working in June 2020 he had a stroke could not walk talk no movement on his right side, he was in hospital 4 weeks the doctor said the diagnosis  the cancer has gone to his brain is not good gave him weeks it was a shock to see that on paper it flawed me, devastated he had fully recovered from his stroke the doctors are amazed at quick he had recovered, here we are  10 months on yey my beautiful Bob is still here fighting my super hero,
  2. On December 26th 2020 Bob had a seizure so very scary the Ambulance came he had a MRI scan and found more tuomors this has been an emotional rollercoaster,  and not long after that after to come home we got a phone call from the hospital to say that they looked at his MRI scan and the doctor said that he could do something for Bobs tumours, and was invited to go for some gamma knife treatment which had in January 2021 when they were doing the gamma knife treatment they noticed that Bob has 12 tumours we were so shocked I said to Bob how on earth are you standing walking talking with these tumours in your brain you are amazing Bob a real superhero such a fighter it is so positive he smiles a lot he is very cheeky which I love. Bob has anMRI scan booked in April 2021 a phone consultation with his brain doctor,  then in may had clinic appointment with his oncology doctor to discuss MRI scan results. You seem to live from one appointment to the next.  We are so very great full to the team that are looking after Bob the nhs are amazing dedicated special people. Thank you all for you care

Hi sue there is no way I could not read your story without commenting on on both you and bobs strength.

I think your hero Bob was was lucky to find his hero soul mate to help him deal with this every step of they way.

I can only add to this by telling you how much I admire your continued strength and positiveness on what has been a tough journey and may it continue for a long time to come.
