I just happened to look at my report above and I am now really scared. All I was told by my GP was that my womb lining was 13mm and that’s thicker than it should be. She said I was being urgently referred as I had other symptoms. I have my gyn appointment next Friday but reading this suggests I have more going on than I was told on the phone. I am aware Ovarian cancer is very rare caught early
Hi there Bellman. Thinking of you. I would talk to your GP & ask them to explain further. I had hysteroscopy last week & I asked to have it by GA as I have thickening, cyst on cervix & adenomyosis ( very treatable ) just a heads up you can be very sore after hysteroscopy if they are checking a few things.. I asked for a voltarol suppository which numbed me for 18 hours & I still needed pain relief on top but I've only ever had elective c sections due to my history. Talk to your Gp & ask consultant to explain everything in this form. Keep in touch XXX I've been told biopsies will take up to 6 wks! To top it all I also found a lump on my breast so also being fast tracked for that :(
Hi . Try not to overthink things, very easy to say, very hard to do. I also agree with Inpain2021, have a chat with your GP before and ask she explain the form more fully then write some questions for your consultant down in a notebook then put down any answers they tell you at the meeting next Friday. We always go numb when they ask "do we have any questions?"
I had my hysteroscopy by GA (epidural) as my cervix was stenosed they couldn't get the right size speculum in.
Come back and let us know how the meeting goes and if you need any more reassurance come back on here.
Sending you big hugs, Barb xx
