Hello everyone. My first message! Was diagnosed yesterday with uterine cancer! Scared stiff. Got an MRI scan tomorrow to see what grade cancer it is! My cancer nurse is ringing me with the results!! Cannot function. Keep crying. Dreading Christmas

  • Hi Caz

Hope you are feeling a little brighter in the morning light.  Always worst at night and there's nothing wrong in feeling sorry for yourself.  It's absolutely allowed at the moment I reckon!

    Hugs.

Thanks for all your kindness & support! I’m up, fed my dogs, going to have a lovely shower. Almost all my stitches are out now & I’ve been discharged by the district nurse! Think we’ll have a drive out somewhere today! Only thing spoiling it all is that awful injection but only got 11 left! Just say it fast!!! I’m hungry so think egg & bacon will suffice! Just been organising my calendar for this year with appointments & birthdays etc!! Take care! X

  • That all sounds great.  Enjoy your drive out today!  Sunny

  • Hi Baker

just wondering how you are after your operation? X been thinking about you x

  • Hi , say it quickly and you haven't got many injections left. Sorry they have been so awful for you, everyone is different I had the fragmin injections but if I am honest I was terrible taking them although nurse explained very well I was lucky I got any of it in me in the end. My first one I pinched the thigh and pushed the needle in but hadn't realised I had it at an angle which had not gone into the leg, I pushed the plunger and liquid qwerted across the room although not very funny I had to giggle about it it got me though the others as I felt can't be any worse, so just have a giggle about my misfortune there your aloud you know, relax. What we all go though is so very difficult but its important to go out and have enjoyment, distraction I hope you enjoy your little drive somewhere. Have you got your cushion between your seatbelt  it really helps to protect your abdomen which will be tender for a while, while it heals. Hopefully the weather will be kind to you too. Sending some gentle hugs your way.

    Hi GBear

your experience with the fragmin made me smile! Only managed Tesco today about 1.5 miles away ! Went to Lytham yesterday though! Yes you are right, we all need distractions & enjoyment in some way! I have an 8 week old (tomorrow) granddaughter, Ellie-Mae who delights me in every way possible! The top of my legs are really tender but I’m guessing that’s after the operation & hopefully things will eventually calm down! Best wishes! Carol. Xx

  • I am sure Ellie-Mae will give you lots of delights . Its early days of course but hopefully your legs will feel better soon and well done, Lytham is somewhere I have never been, I was going to go to the hall last year but I had to cancel last minute, Tesco today OK not as glamorous but still little bit helps, just be careful not to over do it. Its easy to do at this stage.

You’re right about not overdoing things! I keep thinking I’m superwoman when I’m obviously not! I rest a lot!!! I just want to be me again, swimming, not having those evil injections, not having to worry about my consultation next Thursday! Etc etc!! Need to man up, take it easy & do as I’m told by the professionals!!! Hahahha! X
