Good news is the hysterectomy has dealt with the womb cancer. It was caught at the earliest possible stage.
But the reason I've had to wait nearly 5 weeks is because they found a cluster of cells they cannot identify in fallopian tube. It has been sent to another hospital where they've been trying to identify what it is. They are still working on it and hope to have a decision within the next 2 weeks.
So I'm still waiting as noone can say for certain this isn't cancer.
Hi nina, that's good news the hysterectomy dealt with the cancer but I'm sorry the anxious wait isn't completely over for you regarding the other cells. It's good the hospital microbiologists (or whatever they are called..technicians? Can't think ..too early!) Have picked up the cells and they are being investigated further but you still can't relax until they get the results back. I do hope it's not cancer in there..maybe some old eggs perhaps that never quite made it? Anyway, let's celebrate the good news we have and you are in my thoughts and prayers for the other problem and hopefully it's a good outcome too and nothing sinister . Take care hun and keep resting. Love lamb.xx
Hi Nina60 I’m pleased to hear the histology from your womb is clear and that things were caught at a very early stage. I am sorry though that you still have some uncertainties to live with until the more complex investigations into the cells in your Fallopian tubes are complete. I hope this won’t take too long. If you can try not to second guess anything (hard, I know) and try to concentrate on your recovery. Take thingsca day at a time. I really hope for a good outcome for you- whatever happens we are here for you. You are in my prayers today x
Hi Nina,
Good that they have dealt with one problem.
When I had my scans they discovered I had a lump growing down the back of my thyroid. The gynae lot insisted I saw about it and when I had got over the hysterectomy I got referred. I was convinced it meant another operation, but when I saw the thyroid people they weren't very concerned. Its not cancer, but a goitre, and if I have no symptoms (can't breathe, or eat,) don't worry.
It really is like an MOT!!! Hope your problem turns out to be nothing nasty, like mine!!! XXXXXX
Good luck Nina60 re fallopian tube x
