hi
has anyone else had lower back pain at the start of being diagnosed with womb cancer ? I have had one episode of bleeding and told my womb lining is thicker than normal after a transvaginal ultrasound on Saturday. Over the last few days my lower back has had a dull ache which won’t go away. Im waiting for a hysteroscopy but I’m now freaking out that this pain is being caused by the suspected cancer spreading. I did the worst thing and looked on google . Just wondered if anyone else had this same experience
Heya,
Sorry to hear you're going through a worrying time at the moment.
It could very well be a period type of pain that you're experiencing. Having had a bit of spotting, then something has released some of the lining you've got stored up. So with that and the TV scan you've had to get into position for while they poked around - lower back pain is quite common and not necessarily anything to worry about.
Just as a heads up, you'll probably get some more lower back pain and cramping type pains with and after the hysteroscopy too.
Good luck with it all!
Lass
Xx
I have no medical training, everything I post is an opinion or educated guess. It is not medical advice.
I had my surgery in December 2018 and a second scan in April 2019 which showed degeneration in my lower spine. It’s not connected as far as I know. Just wear and tear. Once you’re diagnosed you become more aware of every pain. Hope it’s just that x
