Hi everyone,
My mum has recently been diagnosed with stage 2
borderline 3 womb cancer and I feel so so so emotional and overwhelmed.
Thanks Rachel x
Hi Rachel and welcome to the forum even though I'm sure you don't really want to be here. Try not to worry too much as womb cancer is very treatable. Once your Mum gets her treatment plan everything will be clearer. There are loads of lovely ladies on the site who will able to give you lots of advice and support. Maybe your Mum could join the forum as I'm sure she would benefit.
Sending you and your Mum loads of love and positive thoughts.
Sandy x
Hello there, A very warm welcome to this little corner of the Macmillan community. As Namnasulki says, I'm sure you'd rather not be here but you've found a safe place to ask questions, to rant, vent and just rest.
Its natural to feel overwhelmed and emotional at your Mum's news. It'll take some time to process it all , but you will get there. My top tips right now would be to try not to second guess anything, avoid Dr Google (unless you're on reputable sites like this one) and take things a day at a time. Once your Mum has a treatment plan you may well find you feel more able to cope. I know my daughters had similar feelings but were more confident once we were able to talk treatment plans etc. I was diagnosed in July 16 with a high grade, aggressive, rarer type of womb cancer. I remember being totally at sea emotionally for a while with so many what ifs crowding in. I won't bore you with the story here (you can read it by clicking on my name iat the top if you wish) but 21/2 years on from treatment ending I can honestly say that the good days outnumber the bad ones. I'd just like to encourage you both and say that lots of us here have been through treatment (of various types) and are determined to live our lives to the full. There are lots of inspiring stories on the forum and I hope that as you read around and meet some of the ladies you'll be encouraged and strengthened. When you're ready, take a deep breath and post away with any questions and we'll do our best to help. For now, please accept the gentle hugs I'm sending you and your Mum x
