Hi Bossette, I was originally told four weeks or when I am mobile. I kept pretty mobile from day one even if just walking about the house then I extended it. At four weeks I felt great I can take them off I am more mobile then I went for a walk before I had a blood test and my left leg swelled, so then I got told to wear them for another two weeks and see how I go. It does vary what your told but ultimately its up to your body when its ready to lose the stockings.

Hello TeddysMum, I didn't know you could get zip up stockings, from amazon, amazing what you discover and were they as good as the normal compression stockings. My main thing was having a spare set so you could wash the stockings in between wearing.
