Hi Ladies
I had very good news today that my endometrial biopsy was clear following post menopausal bleeding after 16months of no periods. No polyps or fibroids seen on scan or hysteroscopy
However my scan noted thickening at the uterine fundus of 7mm and the hysteroscopy noted uterine atrophy which I am taking to mean thinning of the lining. So my question is, is it possible to have thickening and thinning at the same time?? Or am I looking at it all wrong!!
thank you for any views on this

Hi , I really I am unsure of this one, it could be that your body producing exessive estrogen, you could ask the nurses on site Ask a Nurse I am sure they can explain the cause and possible treatment options for you. But I would be interested to know, it seems very strange that you have been told you have both thickening and thinning at the same time if I understand rightly. Its good to hear though that your biopsy was clear, you must be so relieved so latest hope they can help you with your current circumstances.

Thank you for your reply GBear
I might just ask the nurse to see if they can explain it.
I thought it was odd to have thinning and thickening at the same time but also hoping that a biopsy was taken from the thickened area as well. Now I’m doubting the results.
