Well I'm 6 months post op and back to normal. Had my check up last week and all good, next one is Oct. How is everyone? Life had been super busy with work, holidays and general life.
I say all is well then tonight my mum has been diagnosed with early stage endometrial cancer , she's waiting for her MRI to see exactly what's going on but what are the odds of mother and daughter going through exactly the same situation 6months apart.when she rang me to tell me at 6pm tonight I was transported right back to last December when I was given my diagnosis. I've cried for England tonighttonight.
Why is life never easy

Hi Nannydeb,
Good to hear you are doing well.
Sorry to hear about your Mum, but at least you can give her lots of advice!
After my husband was diagnosed with throat cancer 13 years ago, my daughter with breast cancer 6 years ago, I felt as if I knew all there was to know when I was diagnosed 2 years ago!!
Life is never easy in my view, and if I find it is getting easier something invariably happens!!!!!
All the best. xxxxx
Hi nannydeb. I'm so glad that you have had your first check up and everything was found to be fine. I was sorry to hear about your mum though..the chances of that happening must have fairly low oddsespecially for the same type of cancer but as some sort of comfort, if there can be any, you have got through this and are in a good position to give her advice. A big hug coming your way and you wi
both be in my thoughts and prayers. Your advice you gave me helped a lot when I had my surgery and I have my first three month check up on 15 august. However it has not been without complications a
they did a combination of robotic surgery and open surgery in the end, everything became infected and the wound has still not completely healed yet. I have a 5cm exuding cavity which is being packed
nd dressed daily and I have literally just come off the telephone to the hospital to find out whether they want it dressed and packed or undressed and unpacked at the check up. As you say life is ne
r easy..testing times indeed. Anyway you take good care of yourself and your mum..I hope everything goes smoothly for her. My love and prayers. God bless. Lamb
. Sorry, the lamb seems to be photobombing the post again. I hope you can make sense of it....it's gone to sit on the naughty step! XX

Oh wow that's definitely unlucky and I am sorry to hear about your Mum what's the odds on that one . It must seem so surreal the only thing at least you are well prepared for what she could experience that will help her out no end but it must seem rather daunting for you too. As always don't be afraid to ask and just wanted to send you and your Mum some gentle hugs and fingers crossed for what the MRI shows.
Hello Well what a day you had. I'm very glad to hear that your check up went well and that you're back in the swing of work, holidays etc. I am, though, heartily sorry to hear your Mum has just been diagnosed with womb cancer. What a dreadful shock for you both. It's bound to bring things back into sharp focus for you, so we're here to listen and to hold your hand whenever you need us. The emotional side is sometimes harder to deal with than the physical side of things. I know you'll want to support your Mum and help her through this, so do make sure you look after yourself and, if you need to, seek some professional support either from your CNS or a counsellor.
Sending you both a gentle hug. Please keep us up to date with how things go x
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
