Hello I am 51 and had not seen a period for 23 months. Went to doctors and he 2 week referred me to the hospital. Consultant checked my cervix and said polyps are not causing the bleeding. I am booked in for an ultrasound (not internal) this Thursday. Should I be worried. Did not sleep last night. I have changed my diet to a much healthier one and have lost weight. Thought maybe that was why I was seeing blood. Any advice please. Thank you x
Hi Den,
If your ultrasound throws up anything abnormal in your womb they will usually then take a biopsy from your womb, for me I had a biopsy in a clinic then another one in a separate hysteroscopy where they used a camera. The stats say that 90% of women who have a womb biopsy get the all clear, so try not to worry too much, it's always best to get these things checked out though.
Lots of love
