Diagnosis

stage 4b high grade serous uterine carcinoma T3bNxM1

treatment

had Laparotomy, partial omentectomy and repair of cystotomy followed by 6 sessions of chemotherapy.

I went to hospital on 28th August for chest infection and they notice omentom caking.

Prior to this I been to my local hospital for 2 years complaining that I have been bleeding. They did different checks and said that it was due to poylip and there is nothing to worry about. They also told me that they will do further investigation but the appointment never came. I rang them many times but they never made that appointment. Towards the end of August I had chest infection and urine infection.

I went to the hospital and that is where we found out first time that there was something wrong.

I had biopsy and MRI in my local hospital but we were not very happy with them . My daughter decided to transfer my care to UCL. All the tests were send to UCL.

They decided that I will need surgery followed by chemotherapy.

I had scan in January which showed no evidence of disease progression. I have had another scan about 4 weeks ago and am waiting for the results. I am very nervous. My appointment is on 7th.

I am very confuse that my tests were done in the local hospital . Is it possible they again have not been done very well

I feel very well generally. I feel all this could have been avoided if only the investigation was done properly. We have made a complaint to our local hospital and they said that they

have investigated and it was there system which needs improving.

I try to keep busy and try to stay positive.
