Hi I have a grade 3 uterine sarcoma and up to now have only had the 2 initial small spots of blood which I mentioned to doctor and started me on this journey. I am in the system and see consultant on 9th May . I am starting to panic though as yesterday I started with pains and have been losing a significant amount of fresh red blood ever since. I have contacted the nurses and will contact my oncology nurse tomorrow, just wondered if anyone else has experience of this thank you x
Hi mum99. A similar thing happened to me too. To start with I was only having very tiny almost pinhead spots of pinkish blood occasionally which I hate to say I left for a few months as I hoped it would go away and thought it might by dryness etc. A few months later I suddenly had period type pains and more fresh blood although not a large amount it was different to what I had been experiencing and that's when I rang the doctor. That was in April 2017 and I had my hysterectomy in June 2017 for cancer. I hope your nurse can reassure you.
Hugs Lesley xx
thank you Lesley , I was thinking it was just part of the whole process. I am a bit emotional this weekend as we are doing the rounds to our children (adults) telling them about the cancer :( xx
It's difficult telling the family isn't it. Thinking of you.

thank you - it really is the hardest bit. Told youngest yesterday she's getting married in November I so don't want anything to spoil that. going to our eldest later today and then will have to phone other two as one lives in Dubai and one in Slovakia- so that's hard xx
Hi Stef,
Don't worry, these symptoms will be history soon as you will most likely get a hysterectomy soon and it will be bye bye to the bleeding, etc. You will hear of your treatment plan on the 9th of May, no doubt. The ladies on here can give good advice about preparing for the op.
Try and distract yourself by doing some nice things (going to the movies, etc) as waiting around for appointments can kinda do your head in!
Good luck, we've all been there!
Lots of love

Thank you Alison its good to have a private community like this to chat in. My husband is the best ever- but not when it comes to talking about these things - I think if he doesn't vocalise it then its not happening. xx
My husband couldn't talk about it with me either, he never mentioned it or asked me any questions or if I started a conversation about it he would change the subject and wander off. I know he was worried about me of course, just couldn't talk about it. Luckily our daughter was still living with us at the time as I am the sort of person that does need to talk about things and I don't know how I would have got through it without her!
Hugs, Lesley xx
He's just learning as he goes along. It's what happens!

He was the same when I had bowel cancer 7 years ago, and my bladder op and my parastomal hernia op you'd think he'd have learnt by now :) - sometimes I feel so guilty that he has to keep putting up with me being ill, missed holiday etc :(
love stef xx
Not just mine then. just their way of coping I suppose. I have a good friend who has just been through breast cancer so she is happy to chat
