Hi all, i just wanted to share my experience with you all. 8 weeks ago i was diagnosed with womb cancer. I am 47 and 2years post menopausal. After numerous visits to my doctor telling them them something wasn’t right they eventually listened and sent me for a scan. The scan showed something on my womb and 2 weeks later after a biopsy it was confirmed as womb cancer. 3 weeks ago today i had a total hysterectomy and today i had my post op. Great news, they confirmed that all the signs show that the cancer was confined to the womb. I just wanted to say that after 8 weeks of crying, being angry and scared i feel like i have been lucky. Lucky that if I hadn’t pestered my doctor they may never have found it and my story could be a whole lot different. I had no signs apart from tiredness and the odd bleed which was not unusual during my menopause. I am recovering well and i cannot thank the hospital staff enough. They have all been amazing. Thank god for the nhs!
