I decided to start a thread for any arts and crafts you do and want to share. I know I post in others but I just wanted to share how much its helping to calm my mind and would definitly recommend everyone having a go. You don't have to be prefect just happy with your own achievement. Its Daloni that actually gave me this idea for a thread with her wonderful things she makes. So here is our very own girls.

My latest project...

I have done the shading but I think I may add some colour maybe watercolor not totally decided yet.

Oh Fairycake that's so cute, I love the pattern too.

My gran used to knit and taught me how but when I tried I managed a small square with about 20 dropped stitches lol. I don't think I've got the patience for it yet. I was hoping that I would at least manage a scarf but not to be, it was more like a coaster!

  • Thanks, Arla. I made this for my friend's nephew too .  I hope you'll have another go at knitting some time, or maybe crochet. If you have a good wool shop or even a branch of a certain crafting store near you, you may find they offer classes at fairly reasonable prices. I could do a basic chain crochet stitch but that was all, so with a friend's encouragement taught myself by watching YouTube videos . My daughters are now hoping for a crocheted throw each. ......maybe af

Aw that one is lovely too, I like the wee collar.

My friend teaches her primary kids how to crochet, I'll need to get a lesson from her, she does that and cross stitch.

I used a you tube video to learn how to cast on when I was attempting my wee square, I remembered the basic knit but not how to start or stop, I think my gran used to start me off with a line of stitches.

I'd love to crochet a throw for my beds, I've got a nice cable knit one with Pom poms that I bought but it would be good to do something similar for the other rooms, it looks so cosy on the bed. I'd probably end up with a coaster again though lol.
