I decided to start a thread for any arts and crafts you do and want to share. I know I post in others but I just wanted to share how much its helping to calm my mind and would definitly recommend everyone having a go. You don't have to be prefect just happy with your own achievement. Its Daloni that actually gave me this idea for a thread with her wonderful things she makes. So here is our very own girls.

My latest project...

I have done the shading but I think I may add some colour maybe watercolor not totally decided yet.

    That sounds brilliant, .

I wonder what manufacturers would say if we put this to them? I imagine something along the lines of cost of manufacturing a niche product being greater per unit than for mass production. And in fairness they may well be right. That’s why I’m directing my ire at the charity websites. I have only done a cursory search but I cannot see anywhere anything about coping with hair loss on a budget. And these pages with links to expensive products are on sites with pages about the financial impact of cancer. Ironic? I’m nearly laughing...

  • I agree, I dont like to see people cashing in on other peoples cancer. Recently on facebook someone was advertising gift boxes for cancer patients with various pamper items, anti-nausea sweets, skin cream etc,. Not sure how I feel about it, nice idea or someone seeing a gap in an unfortunate market?

Maybe the folks authoring the cancer sites just aren't thinking outside of the box as we did. They've just googled for cancer/chemo products and whatever has come up, they've linked to.

I'd be interested in their reaction/response if contacted and made aware of alternative products that could be used, rather than ones specifically designed for cancer/chemo hair loss.

  • I rather like woodpeckers, we used to get one often in garden.

    Hi

I have had a lot of sofa days with the chemo and all  I put them to good use and made this. I’m pleased with this one

  • Wow, that looks really good on you and very warm and comfortable, which is especially important at this time of year. I love the colors too and the design, it must of taken you ages to make that. But I am really impressed with the results. Pretty good idea to have with the cold winds that are so strong.

This is my first full A4 pastel drawing

Blending the course was interesting it was surprising how you could obtain different colour blends merging together. I like dream catchers and have a few at home. I wanted to give it the aged look which came out reasonable but there is things I want to improve.

Such a talented bunch of ladies on here. The art work is coming along nicely and the knitting would win prizes
