I decided to start a thread for any arts and crafts you do and want to share. I know I post in others but I just wanted to share how much its helping to calm my mind and would definitly recommend everyone having a go. You don't have to be prefect just happy with your own achievement. Its Daloni that actually gave me this idea for a thread with her wonderful things she makes. So here is our very own girls.

My latest project...

I have done the shading but I think I may add some colour maybe watercolor not totally decided yet.

  • ,

And I thought it might be a new craft hitting the scene. You might be too young to remember the Macramé craze. That used knots!!!!!

  • Daloni. that is absolutely stunning!  Fabulous colour palette too. There must be hours of work in there.  Definitely one to treasure xx

    Hi

I do indeed remember it - and the scorn poured on it with jokes about occupational therapists doing macrame with clients and the university of hull offering degrees in macrame. I think they rather took the pleasure out.

I taught myself crochet this summer - I have been a knitter since doing my knitting badge at guides aged about 12. Turns out it’s not really that hard. But yes, , hours and hours of work. Back to knitting hats now.

    Xx

I remember that macrame craze.....i seem to recall my parents having to feign delight when presented with a hanging plant pot holder I'd made from some very plain household string Smile

  • OK this shows the colour far better, it looked dark before.

    Hi GBear,

I have talked to the moderators and they have said that it's ok to mention this.

I have been taking photos of wildlife for a number of years. I use the images for conservation and wildlife charities. The images are free to use and a lot of artists use them for reference for their work.

Would anyone in the arts and craft group like to use them as well? They are free to use and if they bring any pleasure or peace, they can print them off as well.
