This is my first post and having read through the community I felt it would help me to reach out to you all.
Hi arla,
Thanks so much for your message and for sharing your story. I think we have very similar situations. I’m hopeful I won’t have to make such a big decision but will see what the next biopsy results are and go from there.
Hope you’re doing well yourself and thanks for the very kind support.

Hi Poppy,
I'm glad that you are starting to get your head around things and have a plan of action.
I'm slowly but surely getting back to my old self, I'm 6 months post op now and just about back to normal.
Feel free to pop back anytime if you want to ask any questions.
Lots of love

Hey Poppy,
It's no problem at all, and you take whatever time you need to get your head around everything. We all deal with medical 'stuff' differently, and there is absolutely no right or wrong way to deal - so you do you.
The ladies in this group are awesome, and you're definitely in good hands. But do feel free to PM me as well if you want any more info on my treatment etc - or Arla/one of the other champs here can give me a poke and a shove in your direction. lol
My fingers are crossed for you, and we're always here if you need anything!
Take care of yourself and do let us know how it goes in a couple of months.

I am in a similar perdicerment I am 38 hade a hysteroscopy in March had 3 polyps removed with a small 10% area of complex endometrial hyperplasia I had a mirena IUD placed as i would like to preserve my fertility. I was told I can continue it till I was ready to conceive i would be allowed to conceive once I had a confirmatory biopsy with a d.c I would need to be monitored with endometrial biopsies every 3 months if there was persistent complex atypical hyperplasia and even if it progressed to stage 1 endometrial ca I can still avoid hysterectomy. If I had a completely normal endometrial biops I would get a confirmatory d.c abx would be allowed to stop TX but would need to be on some form of birth control till o was ready to conceive once I was done child bearing years I would probably need a hysterectomy
Hey Rwalk,
Just thought you'd like to know that I was in your position end of last year. Though my whole lining was complex, and then they found that my polyps were cancerous.
Just this week the results came back to say the cancer is gone, the complex hyperplasia is gone, there's not even any normal hyperplasia left.
I'm 36, and in under a year my cancer was found and suppressed completely. So I'm still on 3 monthly hysteroscopies, and I've had 2 myosure procedures, I have a coil fitted, and I take oral progesterone. But the more clear Hysteroscopy results I get, the further apart they get.
Just thought you'd like to hear a RL success story.

Hi Lass (and all),
I'm so glad to hear your news, that's fantastic and as you say a great good news story.
I had my follow up hysteroscopy and D&C a week ago to confirm whether the CAH was confined to the previous polyps or not. Unfortunately another polyp had popped up since February so thats had to be removed and I expect to get the biopsy results for that and the womb D&C next week.
More waiting!

PS also thanks all for the advice to call Tracy at Ask Eve - she was so reassuring and helpful
Hey Poppy,
I was just reading through the thread again to see what's happened before now.
I don't see you mentioning if you were started on the hormone therapy or not. Did they just clear out your womb and leave it at that? Or did they implant the coil afterwards?

Hi Lass,
You're totally right, I hadn't followed up. I've actually not been well since February thanks to a separate gastro issue alongside recovering from the gynae stuff so my brain is a bit of mush!
The MDT decided I could wait for the results of this follow up biopsy before looking at any treatment. They do seem confident that the cells previously were confined to the polyps so as they were removed, I've not had to take anything.
The added complication of the mirena is that they found I had a biocornuate uterus which would make fitting it (and it staying in place) tricky.
I will be very glad to get these results and either celebrate all being fine or at least tackle it head on.

Ahhh k.
See, after my first lining removal they put a Mirena Coil straight in as they could see that there was at least hyperplasia going on, and the results of the Hysteroscopy before had shown atypical cells.
My cancer was fully contained in my polyps, but because the entire lining was atypical there was the chance for it all to go on the turn.
I didn't stop bleeding after that, so I was still making lining. So they gave me some oral progesterone to take too. Now, I've absolutely no idea if you could just take the oral without the coil. But if the coil is an issue then it might be worth at least asking the question?
My oral dose has been increased, because at the last Hysteroscopy I'd started to bleed again the week before it, and the results showed atypical cells still that had grown back. There were also a load of polyps in there again. So just a couple of weeks ago they removed the lining again in a myosure procedure.
It's those results that came back saying no cancer, no atypical hyperplasia, and not even any hyperplasia either. The polyps are an effect sometimes caused by the progesterone.
So in 3 months time I go back for another Hysteroscopy, and if that's all clear again then they might consider widening the gap between the checks.
Hope that helps!

That makes sense. It does sound positive and I hope you'll be able to decrease the regularity of the hysteroscopy's soon (not anyones idea of fun for sure!).
I think I was very lucky that the previous biopsy didn't show CAH in womb lining, just the polyp. Making me slightly nervous that another one already grew but I know they can do that so will just sit it out and see where we get to.
