I thought that it would good for us to have a regular place to share the positive things, however small, in our lives. Whenever you all share positive tales, I know that I for one feel better, so I thought it might benefit others too. So, if you need a little reminder that joy can be found even on the darkest days, this is the place.
The rule is simply to list three good things that you have experienced, or will experience, today. The idea is to focus on the present rather than worrying about the future or dwelling on negative thoughts. If you are struggling through something hard remembering what you have that is good can really support you. Everyone is different, and there is no wrong answer, and nothing too insignificant to mention. Everything positive counts!
I've just given up using cotton buds in my ears !!!
Frittata sounds lovely Daloni.Â
I made a new recipe for dinner and I really liked it. Chicken with a dijon mustard sauce.Â
I walked 5 miles - fantastic day for a walk. Woods and coast.
I watched a funny film with my sister.Â
Goodnight all. Xx
,
All my washing ( sheets and towels etc) has dried outside on the line and is put away smelling lovely.
I've had a rewarding weeding session in the garden and the garden waste bin is nearly full. Now we have to pay to have it emptied I am determined that it WILL be full!
I've put together lots of nice things for a meze type supper tonight.

(Class of 2015!)
It's been an exhausting week with mainly good things, some challenges and a few upsets, which means that right now in this moment, one of my three good things is that I am feeling pretty good and my energy is positive and I feel surprisingly good. Hooray!
My second good thing: I am at my parents' house and all the blossom is happening! Pink, white, cream, red; it's a joyous feeling even just glimpsing it from the window.
My third good thing is that at my parents' i have two sweet little pussy cats to play with and have on my lap (let's forget about the climbing-up-the-curtains-in-all-the-excitement-of-chasing-a-vole incident)
I hope that spring is brightening your day where ever you are x
Three good things
* had a lovely afternoon with one of my daughters and her 3 dogs. It was a beautifully sunny day and it was great to just walk, chat and laugh together. Also had a good phone conversation with my other daughter.
* blessed to receive an unexpected gift
* looking forward to seeing friends for lunch later this week.
Ladies, I hope you all have a good week. Take care x
I can wear my wedding and engagement rings again without pain! Hooray! A combination og the Easing of neuropathy painand losing weight.
I saw some badgers tucking into some food outside my friends' window tonight. It was almost magical somehow.
My husband has got a bit of temp work starting tomorrow - it's uncertain in duration, with a possibility of something better, but better than nothing after months of applying and getting nowhere!
It's great when you can get them.on again. Good luck to your husband.Â
Things have been very difficult at home this week so I'm really focusing on the positive:
I had a lovely walk in the sunshine with my sister.
I had a long talk with my son and he may have listened. I'm hopeful. It's scraping the barrel, I know, but it's better than a tantrum.
I've just booked a week in Greece with my husband. Just us and some warm sunshine. Yippee!
Enjoy your weekend ladies. Xx
Hi NeverÂ
Sorry it's been difficult. The struggle is real. As my nieces say.Â
It's a bit early for today's three things so I'll cheat a bit.Â
I'm enjoying memories of a lovely evening with friends last night. Lots of laughsÂ
I made a nice spelt loaf last night and had a slice for breakfast. Delicious. With marmite.Â
I'm looking forward to a friend coming for lunch today and a walk in the bluebell woods. I live near the most beautiful bluebell woods I've ever seenÂ
OMG I utterly nearly completely forgot the actual best thing from this week. I heard a cuckoo. A real life cuckoo. It was in the bluebell woods near where I live in Kent, a place called Goathurst Common that is on the Greensand Way (a long distance footpath that runs along the Southern edge of the North Downs). The woods are on a hillside and you can walk along the top of the escarpment, catching views across the High Weald all the way down to South Downs, and then clamber down to look at the bluebells from the bottom, from where they look like a river cascading down the hillside. Nearby there are fields where you can find orchids if you know where to look.
I've not heard a cuckoo here before and it was just magical to be in the woods with a friend, listening to the birds and looking at the flowers. I hope I hear it again today.
1. I can't quite believe this but last night I sent an entry in for a dressage competition! It's the first time I've felt able to do this for 16 months. It's on tueday next week and I can't wait to get me and my horse tarted up. I don't care about the outcome, I just want to do it.
2. Had a practice for my dressage competition earlier. It's only the second time I've done anything like this on my horse for the same length of time. I was a bit stiff but my horse felt great so I thought I'd go for it. Even doing the practice was an achievement in itself!
3. Met up with an old friend for 'posh scones' at Jesmond Dene House in Newcastle. It was lovely to catch up in pleasant surroundings.
Onwards and upwards! x
