I thought that it would good for us to have a regular place to share the positive things, however small, in our lives. Whenever you all share positive tales, I know that I for one feel better, so I thought it might benefit others too. So, if you need a little reminder that joy can be found even on the darkest days, this is the place.
The rule is simply to list three good things that you have experienced, or will experience, today. The idea is to focus on the present rather than worrying about the future or dwelling on negative thoughts. If you are struggling through something hard remembering what you have that is good can really support you. Everyone is different, and there is no wrong answer, and nothing too insignificant to mention. Everything positive counts!
Three good things:
I managed to cook dinner and have prepared lunch for tomorrow (first time I have cooked in months)
Yesterday's vacuuming didn't stop me in my tracks nor slow me down todayÂ
I have coordinated my tops with my head scarves for my next two hospital visits as my wig 'Joyce' is just too damned hot for hospitals.Â
All not earth shattering stuff I know, but pretty smiley for 'blue monday' Â
You are all beautiful people. Â Thank you.
My three good things today are:-
1. Its my granddaughter's 5th birthday and I was able to spend the day with her, her brother and their mum, my daughter. It was great.
2. We all went to see my mum who is in a care home. She thoroughly enjoyed the children visiting her.
3. After a couple of completion dates for the selling my late father's house have been and gone I have finally got a realistic one now and everything is now going through as it should.
This morning we went into town for a little retail therapy prior to my CT scan.
Following the scan had lunch at a favourite little boutique hotel.
For lunch I had beer battered cod & chips which I have not eaten for at least 6 years as I was trying to keep my weight to a good level. Today I thought why not "live for today" This was washed down with a glass of red wine & followed by a lovely little meringue with ice cream inside & a peach coolie.
MY THREE GOOD THINGS
1) Brought some films
2) Got my ticket to see Russell Watson in july
3) Had a nice day out in sheffield
Love to all you lovely ladies xxx
It's a bit early to have had three good things so I am going to post the three things I'd like to be good today:
1. It's my husband's birthday and we are going out for dinner tonight at a new restaurant in town with the kids
2. I'm planning to get a swim in today.
3. It's choir tonight and we are working on Chilcott's Little Jazz Mass and Rutter's Magnificat, both of them joyous pieces
Have a good day

Three good things yesterday.
Had nice lunch with friends in a Turkish restaurant .
Went to the Barbican and heard about next year's classical Music concerts - and I feel positive enough to book up for some!
Since my sister died eighteen months ago I have been the executor for her will and dealing with solicitors. Finally all the ends are tied up and it is done!
