I thought that it would good for us to have a regular place to share the positive things, however small, in our lives. Whenever you all share positive tales, I know that I for one feel better, so I thought it might benefit others too. So, if you need a little reminder that joy can be found even on the darkest days, this is the place.
The rule is simply to list three good things that you have experienced, or will experience, today. The idea is to focus on the present rather than worrying about the future or dwelling on negative thoughts. If you are struggling through something hard remembering what you have that is good can really support you. Everyone is different, and there is no wrong answer, and nothing too insignificant to mention. Everything positive counts!
My 3rd good thing for today is my daughter husban and my 2 grand children are coming to visit end of march for 3 weeks i have not seen them for nearly 4 years they live in america. Woo hoo. I did think at one time not so long ago i would never see them again
My three good things today:Â
I managed to do the ironing, first time in 4 months.
I had a lovely long phone conversation this afternoon with a great friend who never fails to make me laugh.
Nachos for supper with a film, snuggled on the sofa with my best friend, my hubby.
Hi Kalliope
I'm sorry you felt down yesterday and glad you were able to cheer yourself up. The loss of nasal hair felt like an indignity too far for me too. If it's any comfort, I've found my body hair has come back quite sparse. My friends have eyebrow envy, I shave my legs every couple of months at most and, having had extensive radiotherapy, I now sport a reverse Brazillian with a bald patch down the middle of my pubes.Â
Anyway. To quote the Small Faces. Life is like a bowl of All Bran. You wake up every morning and it's there. So live your life as best as you can....(I'll stop there; it goes a bit off piste from that point)Â
Xxx
3 good things
Had my hair cut yesterday, first one after chemo, almost looks like a style!!
Looking at the photos of my "I beat cancer party" last week, and laughing at all my friends having a great time!!
New pills for my neuropathy seem to be working, started walking like myself, a joy!Â
Love to you all xx
Hi everyone, this amazing place is somewhere I call in most evenings and mornings, I just wanted to say thanks for your posts, to think that so many "strangers in person" can be so close in spirit. (hope that makes sense)
X

Hi JanetÂ
I completely agree, considering we are all in a place that none of us ever wanted to be, how fabulous is it to have a safe haven, where experiences, fears and hopes are shared with honesty and generosity.Â
Maybe we should arrange the first ever Community Group meet up- can you imagine the positivity and energy in the room, we certainly wouldn't need electricity!Â

What a great idea, count me in (hopefully fingers crossed)
What a wonderful idea.
As the others have said it is an amzing thing to count so many as friends when we have never met.
This site has been my lifeline and I have found it so easy to discuss problems which I have chosen not to share with nearest and dearest. I really feel that we all have an amazing empathy with each other. As much as family and friends are ther for us I truly feel that you need to experience the full range of emotions to understand what each other is going through.
Thank heavens for this wonderful group of ladies.
Lesley xx
