Hi ladies, hope you are all good. I'm now 4 days post op, one of the worst thing was the constipation! I'm so glad the worst is over, now to wait a month for results. I must say everyone has been so nice, gynaecologists, oncology gynae surgeons, doctors, nurses, theatre staff, domestics, absolutely everyone oozed after me. Had mine in the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh. The tiredness is real butbi feel incredibly lucky to be at this stage now
Hi again Annousks, it’s good to see you! Since you spoke about constipation in the past tense, I assume that’s sorted now? My first bowel movement was on day 4 post op, but I’d kept my diet light till then so it wasn’t too bad. Are you managing to get out for a short gentle walk or two each day? That will help your digestion and circulation get back to normal, as well as helping clear the anaesthetic from your lungs. All the best for your continued recovery!
Am glad it has gone ok for you.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. I felt pretty good by a week post op.
Jane
Yes I'm trying to keep mobile Marmite Fan, thank you so much for the wishes. Still struggling a bit with it, don't feel back to normal yet.
Bless you - be kind to yourself, it’s only been 4 days! You will probably find that you’re a little better each day and can do a little more each day. With what aspect in particular are you struggling?
