Recovery from hysterectomy

Hi again Annousks, it’s good to see you! Since you spoke about constipation in the past tense, I assume that’s sorted now? My first bowel movement was on day 4 post op, but I’d kept my diet light till then so it wasn’t too bad. Are you managing to get out for a short gentle walk or two each day? That will help your digestion and circulation get back to normal, as well as helping clear the anaesthetic from your lungs. All the best for your continued recovery!

Yes I'm trying to keep mobile Marmite Fan, thank you so much for the wishes. Still struggling a bit with it, don't feel back to normal yet. 

Bless you - be kind to yourself, it’s only been 4 days! You will probably find that you’re a little better each day and can do a little more each day. With what aspect in particular are you struggling?

I'm staying with my daughter since op, my toilet and bedroom is upstairs at home, so I'm a bit wary of being on my own even though I'm missing my house 

Hi Annousks, do you have mobility issues anyway?

Good idea Annousks everyone is different but I was glad I had someone at home with me after the op. I didn’t have any problems going up and down the stairs but it was reassuring just knowing someone was there. You will be back in your own home soon enough just do what is comfortable for you.
