Well girls, I had my robotic hysterectomy yesterday, 2nd on list, in at 7am but a long wait till 1pm, they took cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries, also 2 lymph nodes so it's a long wait, probably 4 weeks, but the first hurdle is done. Thanks to everyone for the great advice, very sore with the gas, so I'm taking short walks, deep breathing, drinking peppermint water, I've got mints, rennie pro, also earplugs, thank you especially for that, at the moment the elderly lady next to me is almost totally deaf and one of the nurses has given her her fon and asked what music she like so it's been Jail House Rock, almost Rolf Harris, she changed it to Frank Sinatra, unfortunately for me it's at Boom Box noise levels, so I'm sitting with my earplugs but I can still hear it ha ha you've got to laugh, she's bopping about in her chair
Thank goodness for ear plugs mind you at least you’re getting some entertainment! Well done for getting it all over and done with and good you had robotic surgery. I hope you get discharged soon but make sure you listen to your body and don’t overdo things. It’s tempting to rush things …I lifted something I shouldn’t have done and had some spotting…be careful.
Sending lots of hugs

Trying to stay positive but must admit the pain in my vag is excruciating, they've sentna sample away, but it's probably the op, I was red and very sore inside anyway and they take everything out the vag which I didn't know, after it's all been carved up of course
Hi Annousks, great to see out the other side and back on here! I was fortunate in that I had absolutely no vaginal soreness - well, after the catheter was out anyway. Before it was out I was extremely tender down there. I was also fortunate in that my lovely consultant got me moved from a noisy 4 bed ward to an empty 4 bed ward which I had all to myself! Glad you’re going for little walks - the more the better, especially if you stand up straight! Hope you get to go home soon!
