Hi All,
I hope everyone is making the best of their weekend.
I am back hoping to get some advice.
Now onto my 3rd chemo next week. Somehow, I have managed to get through 2 rounds it’s been testing… I’ve lost all my hair , but found gorgeous wigs and have adapted well considering I’d had my long hair for 20 years .
But I woke up this morning to find a lot of my eyebrows have started to fall out. I’m totally not good at eyebrow grooming and wanted to find out how others got through this. Did anyone use the stickers?. Or just go bare , have the remaining eyebrows waxed !!! or use the Brow pen, I don’t think I could draw on eyebrows it would be a disaster.
I didn’t expect to loose brows until the radiotherapy and help would be appreciated
Lou x
My eyebrows and eyelashes fell out too. I drew mine in (badly) if I was going out otherwise I just went bare. Funny I found losing my eyebrows more distressing than losing my hair. No eyebrows meant nothing to frame my face which, to me, looked weird but it’s 6 months since treatment ended and they’ve all grown back though my hair is curly now rather than straight.
Hi Lou
I think it was around the second cycle that my eyebrows got very thin. Didn't loose them completely. I am quite fair so it was not too noticeable. My eye lashes also started to go around the 2nd cycle- lower ones seemed to go first and then the upper ones went thin. They started to come back between chemo cycles but I lost them again post final chemo. From memory it was around 4-6 weeks post final chemo when everything settled.

Hi Jane,
thank you , I appreciate you sharing your experience. Every step of this journey is filled with some side effect from treatment , when you come to terms with one thing something else happens .
Glad to have a timeline for when eyebrows etc grow back Got my fingers crossed !!.
thank you Lou x
For me, I managed to hold onto about half of eye lashes when I completed my 4 lots of chemo, but eyebrows were down to a very minimal number. Then 2 weeks post end of chemo I lost all the eyelashes, and that’s when I really looked like a chemo patient, was quite upset. But mine grew back really quickly, 2 weeks later eyebrows and lashes growing back,
