A little history; I had an abdominal hysterectomy 29.07.24, followed up by 25 external radiotherapy & 2 brachytherapy treatments and 6 chemo sessions, all ending 08.05 25.
Today I had a check up with my Oncologist. She is happy with my progress so far but has requested CT & MRI scans and I had a blood test while at the hospital. She wants me to continue using the dilater for the time-being. Only 1 negative, she thinks that the peripheral neuropathy in my toes is here to stay as its normally gone by 6 months post chemo but it's not very bad and I only tend to notice it at night. I'm still having some diarrhoea and she suggested using a food diary to see if I can pinpoint triggers.
Overall I'm pleased but will see what my scans tell us.

Hi Sbird
Am pleased that your oncologist was happy with your progress so far. The scans seem a good plan and will hopefully bring some reassurance.
I also have peripheral neuropathy from my chemo in 2022. I eventually had a physio assessment and that helped in that I was given some exercises that I could do to help. If it gets painful there are some meds that can be prescribed as normal pain killers don't have much effect.
I also had external radiotherapy and had persistent tummy effects. It is well worth keeping a food diary and also a bowel chart.(Bristol Stool Chart) My CNS helped me identify certain foods that made things worse. For me it was high fibre foods, and some dairy- particularly lactose. It took time but eventually I came up with a traffic light system of green foods that were fine, orange foods- I could tolerate a small amount- and red foods- to avoid.
I hope that your scans can be done quickly for you.

I also take diabetes meds that can cause stomach upsets so that doesn't help
