Hi folks, just sending an update as I had my appointment with consultant today following my scans. Really good news is that it hadn’t spread beyond womb lining, it’s Grade3 Level 1 endometrial cancer. I will have hysterectomy in next 4-6 weeks and then most likely radiotherapy, depending on histology.
I cannot put into words how your support has helped me get through the last 4 weeks since diagnosis. the whole situation and my mental health has really been a challenge, but all your suggestions, kindness and advice has got me through. You were right about knowing the plan and how that helps.  I know there’s still a lot to face but I feel I can do it. Xx

  • Hi Nicky

Good to hear it hasn’t spread. And yes you can do it, I felt more in control once I knew what the plan was, and that helped enormously. Hope you have a relaxing weekend.

  • Great news that you are provisionally stage 1.

I was also grade 3, stage 1. Doing ok 3 years post treatment.

Not too long to wait for the op and we are here in the meantime.

    Jane

  • Hello

Great news your cancer hasn’t spread outside your womb.

i was also diagnosed with Stage 1a, Grade 3 . I had my hysterectomy on 31st October and just completed 3 rounds of Brachytherapy.

For me once I knew the plan it was so much easier. Xx

  • That’s great news Nicky, I’ve been waiting to see your update all day. Hopefully you can feel reassured now you have your plan. Take care x
