Is nothing ever straightforward?
Was due for hysterectomy for Grade 1, suspected Stage 1a on 18th December
MRI has shown a significant amount of endometriosis so I've been referred to a specialist hospital to see whether they feel able to perform the hysterectomy. They've also discovered a hydrosalpinx and from what I understand from the CNS, this could simply be fluid or could contain cancer cells - so once again, my head is spinning.
Just wondering :-
1. Anyone has been able to have a full hysterectomy with stage 3/4 endometriosis (I appreciate that I've asked this before on here, but some may not have seen it) - apparently my bowel and rectum are stuck to my uterus;
2. Has anyone also had a hydrosalpinx removed when having their hysterectomy and what was the outcome of this? Did it cause your cancer to increase to a higher stage?
Thank you in advance
Hi Lizbot
The first link will take you to any posts within the womb group that have endometriosis in.
The second link will take you to any posts in the womb group that mention fallopian tubes. I did search for hydrosalpinx but it only came up with you post.
While you are waiting for a response, It maybe an idea to have a look at the previous posts in case there is a post showing similar circumstances to your own.
