End of 3 weekly carboplatin and paclitaxel along with durvalumab immunotherapy .
Now on 4 weekly durvalumab and olaparib targeted chemo pills twice a,day starting in a few weeks.
Had horrendous reactions to chemo before and now nervous of starting targeted pills - anyone been on this and what kind of reaction did you have.
Hi Half full cup
Well done for getting to the end of chemo. I remember it well!
I haven't taken the durvalumab or olaparib but hopefully some one on here will have and can offer you some reassurance. Hopefully your previous reactions to chemo will not happen in the new treatments.
Good Luck
Jane
Thank you for replying- not all messages get replies!
Didn't think I'd actually get through it all - sometimes it was very bleak
Stage 4A endometrial cancer- all the female bits removed and now I don't feel too feminine but suppose it will get better
Thank you for your support
I felt like that during chemo- didn't think I would get through it but I did. Same with the radiotherapy- it can feel very overwhelming.
It is tough to have a hysterectomy and I know I felt pretty rough after treatment and looked it- but it did get better. I hope the new treatment helps and that any side effects are manageable.
These are the Macmillan pages on your new meds.

Hi Half Full Cup
Sorry I can’t help you with your new treatment, but just wanted to send you a hug and wish you well. I finished my chemo 7 weeks ago, and I wasn’t sure how I would get through it and still suffering with side effects, so know how bleak it gets.
Thank you for replying and your support
Good luck
