Hi ladies
Just been for my post op/results appointment, 5 weeks since my total hysterectomy
Prior to surgery I had first been told at my hysteroscopy results appointment that I had low grade endometrial cancer, but after MRI and MDT discussions they thought surgery was required for aytipical hyperplasia only, they could not decide whether the biopsy at hysteroscopy showed hyperplasia or cancer.
Had my surgery on May 20th, all went well and thankfully I have had an unremarkable recovery
My results showed I had both aytipical hyperplasia and a small focal low grade endometrial cancer - grade 1 Stage 1 a, so thankfully all removed with op and will be monitored with 3 monthly checks. The initial diagnosis was correct.
Now going to focus on complete recovery and getting on with life ️
Hi Kazaroo60
I am pleased to hear that your surgery went well and you are recovering well.
I am sorry to hear that some cancer was found but it is good that it was at the earliest stage/grade. I found having the 3 monthly checks reassuring.
I wish you well for your continued recovery and we are here if you need us.
Jane
Thank you jane2511
I am sure I will feel the same reassurance from the 3 month checks.
I had no real contact with oncology and my CNS once doubt was cast on my initial diagnosis and told my surgeon this today, she was not at all happy and will address is as I should have had support calls once discharged after op
