Hysterectomy Today

Hello all,

I have to be at hospital for 12 today for my hysterectomy, although been told I am second on the list so likely to have to wait a few hours before I go down.

Very anxious, never had an operation, never been under GA. It didn't help that at the Drs the other day the HCA told me a horror story about hers last year but I have read so many positive stories here and I just wanted to say thank you for all the support and advice.

Yes we are all different and someone who has mobility or other health issues, or whose op was more complicated, might need to take things easier. Listening to your body is so important as in resting when you need to, but it can also work the other way as it listening to your body if you feel like doing more! Somerset is lovely - and this weather is so good at the moment, it’s super to be out and about! I’m a couple of counties away in Hampshire (New Forest) and it’s so beautiful at the moment with all the wild flowers and blossom.

I agree. For me the good weather helps my mental health no end
