Hi just wondering if anybody thats had keyhole surgery has had pain in the bottom wound that's lasted over a week pain killers not working feels like I am bruised no other problems with the wounds
Hi Alibongo, is it healing over? Does it look red and angry, or is it weeping at all? If you’re at all concerned, and if it’s hurting enough for you to feel you need to take pain meds, I’d recommend phoning the ward where you had your op. That’s what I was told to do, and did, post op. I emailed my CNS once and she just told me to phone the ward. I had one wound that was slightly uncomfortable and kept weeping, though wasn’t inflamed, and it got better once a pointy bit of dry glue worked itself out. I defnitely felt a bit bruised occasionally post op, but never needed any pain relief. It may be nothing but it would be wise to phone and tell them about it.
No redness no weeping had a ct scan because of pain all wounds looked fine I have got thickening on my bowel through ha ung to have a colonoscopy in 2 weeks which I am not looking forward 2 as only had surgery just over a week ago but surgeon as requested it
Anybody else been in this position by any chance
