Nearly 3 weeks since my hysterectomy.
MDT meeting this week.
Fairly good so far although still have burning pain in abdominal scar although it appears to be healing nicely.
Bowels are regular but challenging ...have to schedule my day around morning motion ...sounds funny but that's the way it is.
I still need painkillers either paracetamol or ibuprofen about twice a day to feel comfortable.
No bleeding and no more discharge which was my main symptoms pre surgery.
A bit tearful at times but I really think this is just relief now it's over.
Hi Mimizan
It sounds like your recovery is going as expected. I remember feeling a bit tearful as well. I think for me everything went so quickly with the diagnosis and surgery that there is not much time to think. After a couple of weeks post surgery I started to feel a lot better and then it hit me a bit. I think also it was waiting for the post op results to find out whether or not I would need further treatment was playing on my mind.
I wish you well for your continued recovery and hope that your results from the MDT are positive.
In the meantime we are here if you need us.
