Had my Brachytherapy last Thursday. 24 hours flat on my back. You haven’t to bend your knees. Thought I would have to give up halfway through as had excruciating pain in my back but gave myself a good talking to and saw it out. Wouldn’t want to repeat it but glad I saw it through.
Onwards and upwards.
Sue

Hope you are having some relief from your side effects. I had outpatient high dose so quite different but I was told there was advice for side effects with a number to call also for dilator therapy advice. I did drink a lot of water and some cranberry juice which I think helped with the urgency in my case.
Hi Sue ,well done I couldn't have done that with my bad back, I am having 3 Brachytherapy sessions but still waiting for dates has the dates they give me last week where outside of the NHS 12 week recommend guidelines, so hope they can come up with something sooner, I know they are really busy but hopefully they can sort it out, look after yourself take care , Gloria xx
Hi I finally had my first session yesterday - week 10 post op and it only happened due to the consultant seeing me last week when they were short staffed and he took the paperwork to the booking office himself!
Hi tangle, got my new dates today and they are to be 10 weeks post opp instead of 12 so I am happy with that, I had my opp on the 19th September, nothing found in nodes same as you, it sounds like you have been through the mill a bit , they told me I had a nodule on my my lung after my c.t scan in August but it was benign and not to worry about it, but you do worry ,hope everything gets sorted out for you , look after yourself take care, Gloria xx.
Hi Sue, hope you are feeling better now, I had my 3 Brachytherapy sessions last one yesterday all went well, so next appointment 6 weeks check up, I know it has not been easy for you but I do hope you are okay, take care Gloria
