Well it’s 10 days since my operation and my recovery has been going to plan.  I’ve been lucky and have not had any problems. I’ve been up and about a little bit each day and can feel it getting slightly easier.

i have been out a couple of times but let my friends to all the lifting and carrying whilst I wander along slowly.  Sleeping is getting easier as I can now lay on my side.  Wounds are all healing nicely too

I came off the painkillers on day 4 and just have a paracetamol at bedtime now

today the consultant called me and shared the news that the operation was a complete success and all the cancer cells were contained in the womb and out of me.  I do not require any follow up and can focus just on recovery and getting back to normal. She even gave me the on to go ahead with my November holiday which is beyond amazing.

its such a relief but what a whirlwind! I am obviously delighted but it hasnt sunk in at all yet.

I am so grateful for everyone who has been part of my journey to date, including this forum which has really helped me follow people in similar situations and watch their progress.

i hope you all get through your journeys in good shape - it’s really tough but there is hope and the people & technology to support us is incredible

I have 14 days of blood thinners left - my neighbour who’s a nurse comes in everyday and does it for me as I  so squeamish - I think I owe her (and me) a massive glass of champagne when the course is complete
