Has anyone been able to take their phone into brachytherapy? I use music to help anxiety. I did mention it during a hurried consultation but I'm not sure what the response really meant.
Hi Clem16
I did not have brachytherapy but did have radiotherapy. Was not allowed to take phone into the room but they were able to play music into the room over loud speakers and I was able to chose what type, if I wanted. I just opted for the hospital radio but it did really help. My treatment would take 2-3 songs from going into the room to coming out.
I don't know whether it would be different for brachytherapy or if different hospitals have different rules.

Understandable.
I have had several scans and 25 radiotherapy and was always asked to leave my phone outside. They always gave me a choice of having music on though. And it did help me relax
Hello yes I did and my headphones so I listened to music, they also had the tv on if I wanted to watch that
it was over so quickly hardly heard many songs good luck xx
I got changed in the brachytherapy suite so my phone was in the same room but music was played - only took 6 mins so barely two songs! It won’t very quickly!
