HI, I’m on the 2ww cancer referral. I had a hysteroscopy on the 20th August. They took some biopsies as he could see thickening of my womb. On the trans scan they could see that my lining was 24mm thick. The endometrium is slightly irregular in outline, thickened and heterogeneous in echotexture and I have a fibroid.
I’m 41 pre menopausal. I’ve been having very heavy flooding periods with very large clots. I’m constantly checking my nhs app for results, chasing the postman like a crazy women, checking my phone for a phone call.
How long have others waited for their results I think I need to chill out a bit but it’s driving me insane.

The waiting is really hard.
For my biopsy I had the results around a week later. I was phoned with the results.
For my post op results- it was around 3 1/2 weeks.
It can vary a lot between hospitals and just depends on how busy they are. The length of waiting doesn't have any bearing on the results.
At my hospital most results were given out on a Thursday pm after the Thursday am Multi Disciplinary Team meeting- but again this can vary.
Are you able to perhaps email the consultants secretary- or secretary of dept where you had the hysteroscopy and ask for an update? An alternative is to contact GP and ask if any results have come through yet and whether they can do anything to chase them up. My GP always had any results electronically and often would come through around a week before a letter arrived.

I had my hysteroscopy and biopsies this week and was told the results should be back within 4 weeks.
Trying to put it to the back of my mind but as you say its not easy. Keep popping on here for reassurance in the meantime.
